Welcome to
Our Farm Family

Hi! And thanks for checking out our farm page! We are a Bucks County family of 5, who are new to the farm life, but are really leaning in to it and loving it.

We bought our little farm in Sellersville, Pa earlier in 2025 and took over an existing flock of Jacob sheep from the previous owner, who lovingly raised his sheep here for over 40 years.

For those who don’t know, Jacob sheep are a heritage breed of sheep, currently listed as a threatened species. They are spotted and horned sheep, known for their quality fleece. While their origin remains somewhat of a mystery, there are biblical ties to the breed. In the book of Genesis, Jacob’s flock of sheep are described as spotted and horned and were noted to have washed ashore from shipwrecks during the attempted invasion of the Spanish Armada. It is believed that the Jacobs that we know today, are direct descendants of this flock.

We have really grown to love this unique breed and plan to continue our farm predecessor’s vision of making sure these sheep are around for people to enjoy for many more generations to come.

Our flock is registered with the Jacob Sheep Breeder’s Association. Find our flock on JSBA.org.

Life at the farm…

So what do we do here at Shear Luck Farm? Well, quite a few things. There’s never a dull moment around here and we seem to keep expanding on our animals and services.

Here are a few things we currently offer:

-Farm tours for people who are interested in starting their own Jacob sheep flock. Reach out if you’re interested.

-Sale of Jacob sheep (rams, ewes, babies). We currently expect some new babies starting in late January 2026. Stay tuned for updates!

-Sale of Jacob sheep fleece and taxidermy skulls.

-Stud services-rent a ram for breeding in your own flock!

-Farm fresh eggs for sale, and eventually fresh, farm raised chicken.

-Community events at the farm. We held yoga here in October, and hope to do more events like this. Check out our IG for some posts about this!

-Sheep shows, where we proudly show our finest Jacobs! We currently attend the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, Hunterdon County Sheep & Fiber Festival, and the annual JSBA sheep show. Follow along on IG to see where we may head next!

-We recently brought 3 mini cows to the farm and plan to breed them in the next year to start selling calves as well. Stay tuned!

We also represent the breed at our local HS football games. Catch Syrus or one of our other rams representing our own Pennridge Rams, Friday nights under the lights! pennridgerams.org

Sale Policies

We are very dedicated to making sure that this breed survives and thrives. We prefer to sell our sheep to breeders who share this sentiment. We are happy to help young farmers get started in this breed, and will try to work within their budget. We also offer discounts to breeders who are purchasing multiple sheep.

To get an idea of price, two horn ewes usually start around $200. Four horn rams have sold for as much as $400 in the past.

We do ask for a 25% downpayment to hold any sheep that you may be interested in purchasing. Delivery may be available, depending on distance and number of sheep to be transported.

Registration with JSBA is guaranteed if submitted within six months of purchase date.

If for any reason a sheep would fail, we would gladly replace that animal or refund your money.
